Nico Hardy
Bio
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1970, Nicolas Hardy moved at a young age
to New York City, where he apprenticed with award-winning photojournalist
Antonin Kratochvil and legendary fashion photographer Francesco Scavullo. He
became a professional photographer at the age of 19, working in fashion,
advertising and portraiture. His clients include AOL, AT&T, Coca-Cola, Condé
Nast, Ford Motors, Hearst Publications, Gillette, Levi’s, Speedo, Sony Music
and many more.
In 1998 he began a career as a cinematographer, working on commercials as
Director of Photography. Clients have included Gatorade, Pampers, Pepsi,
RCA, and Toyota, among others. He now works freelance for different
production companies around the world. His spot for UNICEF won a Clio award
in 2005.
His first art photography book, "Ex", was published to critical acclaim by
OksBooks in 2004. His second book of personal work, "Playwife", published
by STF, will be released in March 2007. He is currently working on a third
book of portraits, titled "Sunday Morning Girls".
